INTENSE TT G8 GT Home

In April of 2008 Scott Cook, owner of INTENSE, sold his 2004 Pontiac Bonneville GXP and purchased a brand new 2008 Pontiac G8 GT.  A lot of hype has been leading up to the release of Pontiac’s latest RWD powerhouse vehicle and that alone was enough for Scott to purchase the vehicle without ever having seen one in person.  The decision was made, the vehicle purchased, and the first modifications began development in the span of about 3 days.  Yes, you read that right modifications are avilable from INTENSE for the G8.

Scott bleeds Pontiac Blue and has purchased nothing but Pontiacs his entire life owning cars such as a 1964 GTO, a 1984 Fiero, 1987 Trans Am GTA, a 10 second 2000 Bonneville and a 9 second 1998 Grand Prix. His original intentions in purchasing his 2004 Bonneville GXP was to modify it as well it but the Northstar programming and drivetrain made it impossible. Dissapointed with this Scott jumped at the oppotunity to get the G8 GT and we have several modifications already in the works to turn this potent 6L V8 into a monster power producer.

Scott’s goal with the G8 GT is not to make it a 1/4 mile drag car but rather a pure street speed machine. We are already working on leveraging our current contacts and creating new ones such as our new dealership agreement with APS to begin bringing you the best and most powerful modifications for the Pontiac G8 GT. As always we will back these parts with the our vaunted customer service both before and after the sale.

Interior Modifications

Like most 2008 G8 GT owners we were not very fond of the Atari style gauges in the middle of our INTENSE TT G8 GT's dash. We pulled the console apart, took out the gauge and replaced it with a custom three pod filler insert. This allowed us to include a fuel pressure gauge, boost controller and oil pressure gauge.

We also changed out the stock mirror for the following reasons:

  • Get rid of the annoyingly bright PASSENGER AIRBAG light.
  • Add autodimming feature.
  • Add exterior temperature feature.

Wheels

INTENSE TT G8 GT CCW Wheels

Our mission was to squeeze every possible millimeter of tread under our flagship car, which already has the Pedders Track II suspension installed. The wheels are CCW SP510s and the tires are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. We used black McGard lug nuts and wheel locks. Final wheel and tire sizing is as follows:

  • Fronts: P265/35ZR19 on 19 x 9.5" +34 mm.
  • Rears: P305/30ZR19 on 19 x 11" +54 mm.

Three modifications are required on the rear if you want to get this radical. First, you’ll need to trim the plastic liner inside each fender. Second, there’s a metal clip in each fenderwell that holds the brake line in place. Remove each clip, rotate 90° and reinstall. And third, have your fenders rolled if you ever plan to have passengers (or drivers ) in the back seat.

We want to thank John and Melissa from CCW for working with us on this project. They were very patient with us when we told them our vision, and they didn’t give up on the concept even though several test fits were required.
