The ninth INTENSE Drag Day™ (IDD IX) is scheduled for April 28th and 29th, 2007. We will again have a full
weekend with a car show on Saturday and full scale drag racing on Sunday. Our venue of choice is once again
Summit Motorsports Park - which many consider to be the best track in the midwest. Like last spring we are including the
Saturn ION's, Chevy Cobalts, and other 4 cylinder FWD applications. If you have never been to an INTENSE Drag Day you won't want to miss this event!
On Saturday April 28th, INTENSE™ will host our third INTENSE Show Day™. There will be six categories and the rules are simple. All cars are
welcome and the winners will be chosen by car show attendees. The gates will open at 8:30 a.m.,
and cars should be ready to show by 12 Noon. Judging starts at 2 p.m. Trophies will be awarded for each class.

On Sunday April 29th, INTENSE™ will host the race day portion of IDD IX. There are a total of five 3800 FWD race classes so attendees
can compete with cars at their own level. This should give everyone a fair shot at the awards, and also increase the total number of
prizes. All GM FWD cars are welcome for this full day of head to head racing in six separate classes, plus some bracket racing
to make things even more interesting. The gates will open at 8:00 a.m., and we have the track to ourselves for UNLIMITED PASSES between
9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. IHRA safety rules will apply (helmet for 13.99 and faster, roll bar for 11.49 and faster, etc.).
As a special treat we will have Miss Pecos Valley, Aleiha Applegarth, attending INTENSE Drag Day IX. She has held
several local titles for the last five years (Miss Zia, Miss Southeastern NM, Miss Caprock, Miss Clovis,
Miss Mesilla Valley) and will compete for the title of Miss New Mexico June 3-9 in Albuquerque, NM. She
is promoting "Sun Safe Kids," a program devoted to the education and empowerment of children and adults to
protect themselves from UV exposure and she will be at IDD to distribute sunscreen and information free of charge. Please drop by her area on Sunday and say hi.

Track Preparation
The track will be fully prepared and both lanes will be sprayed for the first 660 feet. That's right - we're paying extra money to
have the track prepared better than average. And "average" at Norwalk is better than many tracks ever achieve in a given year. Of
course, an ambulance and fire safety crew will be on site during the entire event.
Admission
Entry into INTENSE Show Day™ on Saturday April 28th, 2006 will be $30.00 U.S. per car to show. Those registering before April 17th, 2007
will be admitted for $25.00 U.S. and those registering before April 2nd, 2007 will be admitted for $20.00. U.S. Spectators are FREE.
INTENSE Drag Day™ IX admission will be $80.00 U.S. per car to race , and $20.00 U.S. to
watch. All children under 12 years of age will be admitted FREE. Anyone registering before April 17th, 2007 will be admitted for $65.00 U.S. And anyone registering on or before April 2nd, 2007
will be admitted for $50.00 U.S.
Rain Date
In case of rain, this event will be rescheduled for Monday, April 30th, 2007.
Refunds
Since entry fees help pay for all of the awards and we have a rain date scheduled NO REFUNDS will be given.
Lodging
Due to scheduling conflicts with a couple of weddings in Norwalk on the same weekend our normal accomodations of the Amerihost (now known as the All American Inn)
and Best Western will be hard to secure. Both hotels are pretty much booked solid but rooms may become available after April 1st so be sure to check after that date to try and get a room. Mention
keyword "DRAG" to get a better rate and become part of our room block.
