Most standard harmonic balancers are assembled with inserted dampening rubber which won’t handle the torque forces and higher revs the modern engines generate. This leads to spinning of the inertia ring resulting in loss of timing accuracy and eventual component separation. Often these balancers are made of relatively weak Grey cast iron which often cracks in the keyways and centre webbing.

Even expensive all steel or alloy performance balancers from most manufacturers use similar rubber inserts which still break down over time in the same way as standard balancers.
POWERBOND balancers eliminate these common failures in standard and performance balancers by positively bonding the dampening rubber to the metal components under extreme heat and pressure. The state of art bonding process used on all POWERBOND models eliminates spinning of the inertia ring and separation of the dampening material in even the most highly stressed applications.
Every POWERBOND harmonic balancer is manufactured from all new materials; either high strength SG (nodular)iron or AUSI 1045 steel precision CNC machined for total accuracy. Every assembly is balanced at the factory to precise tolerances. The ultra modern manufacturing process allows all new POWERBOND balancers to be sold at the price of manufactured exchange units - so you get true value for money without the hassles of core return and exchange.
Availalbe in Stock, 10% under and 25% under sizes, the POWERBOND SFI Approved Harmonic Balancer makes a perfect power producing addition to your Pontiac G8.

As many of you know our previous mechanic, Tim King, had to leave us earlier this year due to some health issues and we have had to turn down install work ever since. We are happy to remind our customers that INTENSE has partnered with Bob Cook of B&R Racing to provide proefessional installation services once again at our facility in Plain City, Ohio. Bob is a 20 year ASE certified GM Master Technician who currently holds the world record for FWD 3800 1/4 mile times and trap speed with his 8 second Grand Prix. With Bob working in our garage a few days a week, INTENSE is proud to be able to once again offer top notch installation.
Since announcing this arrangement weeks ago our facility has been a non-stop rotation of Grand Prix’s, Bonneville’s, Monte Carlo’s and other 3800 powered vehicles as well as quite a few of the new Pontiac G8’s. Everything from cams, headers, and pulley swaps to PCM tuning, gasket changes and twin turbo kit installs have been happening here at the shop.
No job is too small or too big. Need brakes replaced or plugs changed? Need an oil or coolant leak fixed? Need a hub bearing or motor mount replaced? Now is the perfect time to get that last minute work done on your car before winter sets in. We are scheduling about one to two weeks out and offer services by appointment only so be sure to give us a call to get your car on the schedule today.
